Duties:
The Secondary (High) School Teacher is responsible for
designing and implementing an educational curriculum appropriate for
students in one or more academic, technical, or vocational subjects.
Use various teaching techniques and appeal to different
learning styles.
Plan and develop an engaging, age-appropriate
course of study in the classroom, adhering to educational best
practices and state and school district curriculum. guidelines.
Prepare materials for lessons, assignments, and tests.
Evaluate, correct, and grade student performance.
Discusses
academic difficulties or behavioral problems with students as they
arise.
Monitor students' progress throughout the year and
evaluate preparedness for graduation, vocational school, or college,
as appropriate.
Collaborate with guidance counselors to help
students select a college or course of study. Administer
standardized tests in accordance with district and state laws and
policies.
Communicate progress and concerns tactfully and
professionally to parents and, as appropriate, other faculty, staff,
and/or principal.
Participate in faculty meetings, educational
conferences, workshops, and other training seminars. Use computer
literacy skills, different software, and technological advances in
Teaching.
Maintain required paperwork for individual student
files, attendance, incident reports, and other records.
Enforce all administration policies, safety, security
standards, and rules governing students.

Salary is $57743 per year
Master's Degree in Science/Physics/Education with 6 months of
Experience in Teaching and an Indiana Teaching License.
